1-1 English-Speaking Maths Tutoring for kids aged 10-18

MMath (First Class) graduate from the University of Bath with 100+ hours of professional tutoring experience ages 10-18. Current MSc student at Freie Universität.

When not studying mathematics myself, I thoroughly enjoy being able to teach what I have learned to those around me. I am extremely passionate about the way maths is taught; the further I have progressed down my own journey of learning the more I understand that the inherent difficulty in mathematics arises from the way it is explained.

Specializing in maths taught between ages 10-18, I structure each lesson with a skeleton of both practice and past-paper questions designed to probe understanding of a topic from multiple angles. Where gaps emerge, I use targeted follow-up questions to help the student build genuine conceptual connections rather than simply filling in answers.

Mathematics can be taught — and genuinely understood — in a surprising variety of ways. For me, the joy of maths lies in describing the same abstract structure through completely different lenses. This is precisely how I tailor my lessons to each student; I pay close attention to how each student naturally thinks about a problem, then explain new concepts in their own terms — guiding them to build a mental picture that genuinely makes sense to them.
