Welcome to an unforgettable adventure at our summer camp where creativity meets technology in the vibrant virtual town of Netburg! Designed for children ages 9-14, this 5-day journey transforms eager learners into visionary game makers, skilled artists and innovative developers. Here's a glimpse of the schedule that awaits you:

Day 1: Create a website and design a map with Google Sites & Canva Immerse yourself in the world of digital innovation in our dynamic workshop for budding tech enthusiasts! Using Canva (a graphic design tool), students will design a sophisticated digital city map while learning key design and layout principles. They will then take on the role of digital journalists and create a professional news blog using Google Sites to capture the happenings of their virtual metropolis. This workshop combines creativity, storytelling and technical skills for budding creators.

Day 2: Powtoon for Animation and Video Production

Immerse yourself in digital city design and create a virtual metropolis. Students will learn to master levels in graphic editors to design complex and visually stunning cityscapes, honing both their artistic and technical skills. Additionally, they will develop an interactive web quest to bring their city to life, making it an immersive digital experience that invites exploration.

Day 3: GDevelop Game Development Level 1

Explore the world of pixel art and create interactive landmarks for a virtual city. Learn the basics of pixel art, design unique landmarks and integrate them into a digital cityscape. Develop and practice an engaging presentation about your designs and the design process. Present your work to the group and apply your new skills to build confidence and effective communication.

Day 4: GDevelop Game Development Level 2+

Build an amusement park in a virtual city with GDevelop! Students design and refine their own games, starting with basic mechanics and moving on to more complex features. Their final creations bring a dynamic and interactive dimension to the virtual amusement park and demonstrate their improved programming and creative skills.

The Grand Finale: Presenting All Tools with Google Slides Unleash your creativity by creating a pixel art welcome banner inspired by classic video games. Students will design their banners and prepare to present their projects. The workshop also provides time to practice presentation skills. With teacher support, they will gain more confidence and learn how to communicate effectively as young creators.

By the end of the camp, each participant will not only have developed a range of digital skills across different platforms, but will also be confident in their creative abilities and the endless possibilities that technology offers.
