Vocal grooming based on Indian Classical music tradition

I, Bananti Chakraborty, originally from Calcutta,
India, am a disciple and follower of
Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty, and a student at his
institution Shrutinandan, since 2007. I also took train-
ing in Rabindra Sangeet initially from my mother and
later from her Guru late Shree Rajeshwar Bhattacha-
rya.With years of experience as a student, performer
and teacher, I have been working to introduce individu-
als from diverse backgrounds to the rich heritage of
Indian music. My approach blends scientifically experi-
mented vocal techniques, cultural context, and practi-
cal exercises to help students find their authentic voice
while experiencing the depth of Indian Music.
This school is not only about learning to sing but also
about discovering the spiritual and cultural roots of
